There are two villas in the grounds but although they share the entrance the two villas are totally autonomous. The main entrance to the villa is approached by a short flight of steps from the private parking area. The ground floor has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area which is well equipped with all the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. There is one bedroom with twin beds on the ground floor as well as a shower room with WC. On the upper floor, is the main bathroom which is shared by the two bedrooms situated there. One bedroom has a double bed and the other twin beds. The private swimming pool is approximately 40 square metres and one corner is sectioned off for children although children must be supervised at all times. A BBQ is a great way to spend an evening and the villa has a lovely stone built barbeque for visitors to use. The surrounding areas have a host of places to explore and things to do. The famous Samaria Gorge is very popular with walkers but if a waterpark is for you, then look no further than Chania, an hours' drive away. The town of Rethymnon is close by and offers something for all the members of the family. The long sandy beach has water sports, the culture vultures can track down the Venetian and Turkish sites and the shopaholics can spend hours trawling the vast selection of shops spread out in both the old and new town. Then when sustenance is called for, there are restaurants and tavernas to suit every taste and pocket. The village of Maroulas is a ten minute walk away and is host to two tavernas and a mini market where daily necessities can be bought. The cosmopolitan resort of Plananes with its' larger supermarkets, cafeterias, tavernas and bars is three kilometres from the villa. The most convenient airport is Heraklion which is 75 kilometers away but Chania airport is 85 kilometres to the east. The largest airport on Crete is Heraklion as it receives much more air traffic than Chania. Due to the location of the villa, a car is considered essential.
