Villa Domenico (built in 2000) is quietly situated on a hillside overlooking the bay of Plakias. Its distance from the fish village of Plakias is about 2km. Plakias is a beautiful small resort directly on the libyan sea and it is the place where nice beaches and all amenities can be found, 30 km south of Rethymno. The villa is built in a plot of 2500 sqm with pretty gardens,flowers, palm, and olive trees. From this area the Monastery of Preveli, Frangokastello, Phaistos can be easily visited. In the facilities a 50sqm swimming pool, and a games room with table tennis-billiards and a garage are included. All living areas and bedrooms have air conditioning (at a local charge). The villa is divided in 2 floors, with a size of 200 sqm, suitable for up to 10 people. On the ground floor there is a living room with a fireplace, a seating corner, TV, and a well-equipped kitchen with dining table. There are also two twin bedrooms, and a bathroom with bath/WC. An outdoor staircase leads up to the first floor, where there is a living/dining room with a kitchen, seating corner, open fireplace, and TV. There are three bedrooms, one with a double bed and two with twin beds, a bathroom with bath/WC and a washing machine.From the villa it is a nice long walk down into Plakias, with a rather steep walk back up! A car is considered to be essential in order to explore the whole area and the island.
